The prize for quality brought home

On 8th November 2018, the final ceremony of the 13th year of the project Quality prize in social care was held in the Main Hall of the Czech Senate in Prague. Slezská diakonie nominated two of its services for this year and it is our great pleasure to announce that they both gained an award. It is the result of long-term attention towards the quality and efforts undertaken when working with our clients.

The service EFATHA Nový Jíčín, social-therapeutic workshops, was awarded the Quality Prize in the category of ambulatory services. The prize was awarded for the activities related to the integration of disabled people into the society, both in the form of employment and in the form of puppet theatre. The clients of the workshops created props, stories and played their performances in kindergartens or at various public events. The service thus eliminates barriers between disabled people and the society.

The service SILOE Ostrava, special-regime home, gained an honourable mention from the Senate for their work related to reminiscent techniques which enable people with memory disorders to return into the previous stages of their lives and better connect these with their present lives.

We thank our employees for fantastic and high-quality work which was highlighted and appreciated by these awards. We wish further inspiration and joy at work.
